Do you have a title for the upcoming cd?

THE BLACK CROSS BROTHERHOOD

Not as yet. We're kind of leaning towards just making it self titled but you never know, if a title comes up that we feel defines the album...then we'll go with it. This is our first album, so the self titled route kinda feels right to us.

Have you written all the songs or are you writing as you record?

THE BLACK CROSS BROTHERHOOD

A little of both actually. We have six tunes finished that we've been playing live and two more that we had riffs for that were just too cool to ignore....We'll be finishing those in the studio.

Walk us through the process of writing your music.

THE BLACK CROSS BROTHERHOOD

Usually it starts with one of us bringing in a riff. Then, all of us kinda tweak it until its a Black Cross song. Every one in the band has a say in what works and what doesn't.

Where will you be recording and why?

THE BLACK CROSS BROTHERHOOD

We're doing the album in our own studio, Hotel Doom Studios. We wanted to be in control and to not have to worry about finances and schedules. Speaking from a personal standpoint, We've all been part of bands in the past that have had to rush out an album because of those things. This way, we can make sure that when the album's ready...it's ready.

Will you have a producer or will you self-produce?

Brother Chris is producing the album. He's got an amazing ear and obviously is familiar with the songs....hahahaha

When can we expect the cd to be available?

THE BLACK CROSS BROTHERHOOD

We're shooting for a Summer release but, once again, we're not going to rush out an album.

Which is your favorite...Live or in the studio?

THE BLACK CROSS BROTHERHOOD

They're both great. When you play live, you get to see and hear the response immediately and that's what we live for. The studio is for making everything as perfect as possible and the process of doing that is like watching a child grow into an adult which is satisfying in it's own way.
