What is the title of your upcoming CD? How did you come up with the name?

MISSILES OF OCTOBER

“Dont’ panic”!!!! The world is beautiful. Everything is going fine. Is it not what government and media tell us? It’s ironic sure, it’s ascertainment about what we can hear, read or see … and it’s ironic too about our band name, “don’t panic” Missiles are here huhu.”

Is this your first CD and if not, how is this one different from the others?

MISSILES OF OCTOBER

We made our first EP after 8 months of existence. We had a first concert planned and wanted to mark the occasion. It was released with 4 songs for the occasion. It was recorded "live" in one afternoon. The sound was raw. We had never played them live. The difference between the EP and this album is the songs were all tested live and reworked. We also took more time to record & mix it.

Did you write all the songs before going into the studio or did you write them as you were recording?

MISSILES OF OCTOBER

Yes all the songs were ready before we went into the studio.

Walk us thru the process of writing your music?

MISSILES OF OCTOBER

One of us comes with an idea and we jam on it. We take a lot time on our songs to test things, find ideas, etc…. It’s a long writing process.

Where did you record and why?

MISSILES OF OCTOBER

we recorded in our rehearsal room. This one was equipped by a friend who helped us to record it. We did it for economic reasons

How did you pay for your recording?

MISSILES OF OCTOBER

Nothing, it’s great!

ATP

Did you have a producer or did you self-produce? If so, what kind of input did the producer have. If your self-produced, why?

MISSILES OF OCTOBER

We produced it ourselves. We have already record many LPs with our others bands. So we know how to do this.

Did you try to capture your "live sound" or did you go for something else?

MISSILES OF OCTOBER

We did for the 1st ep, but for LP it was not technically possible. We recorded instrument by instrument for the LP. It’s not what we prefer but… result is good. We hope to record next time in live conditions to capture our live energy on stage.

Did your record label have any input into the music you recorded?

MISSILES OF OCTOBER

Absolutely not!

Are you pleased with the final product?

MISSILES OF OCTOBER

Sincerely yes, we are very happy with the sound that my brothers Nicolas and Loïc played. We will try to push it even further.

Will you be touring to promote your CD?

Since April 2014 we've been touring for this first LP. We have done +/- 30 gigs in Germany & Belgium. We will continue to tour until next record

Would rather be recording or playing live shows?

MISSILES OF OCTOBER

Recording is an interesting process, an important moment where you freeze your songs on record. We like it but it’s not our favorite time, we prefer to play live!!
